Danielle Smith
Registered Massage Therapist
Somatic Integration Practitioner
&
Movement Artist
Iām a student of life, kinesthetic learner, movement and somatics practitioner, and workshop facilitator.
I recognize that the body - each of our beings - is impacted by both internal physiological factors and external socio-structural factors.
The last decade of my career has focused on bridge-building between Healing Arts and Performing Arts with a focus on ancestral reclamation, body memory, and social justice.
I was led to Somatics as I continue to deepen my understanding that the body holds culture, as well as a deep innate wisdom and resilience toward healing, for both the individual and the collective.
I work collaboratively with my clients, whether in Massage Therapy treatments, Somatic sessions, or workshops, in an evolving process based on their bio-political landscape and any given set of circumstances that are being faced.
My RMT practice of over 25 years is grounded in my lived experience, professional experience, and continuous study of the somatic, physiological, and relational impact of the overculture and its historical and intergenerational repercussions in which we are living.
